Principal Sia Goutzas leads our MWNS team with passion and expertise. With a background as a qualified Secondary Mathematics teacher and a dedicated mother of three, Principal Sia is renowned for her organisational skills and inspirational leadership. She works tirelessly to create an environment where both students and teachers feel confident and supported in their educational journey.
Fun fact: Not only did all 3 of Sia’s daughters attend MWNS tutoring throughout school, they now all work with MWNS helping their mum build confident learners.
Principal Sia’s journey began in a traditional school environment, where she observed firsthand the diverse learning needs among students. Fueled by her commitment to personalised education, she established MWNS in 2003.
Drawing on her Bachelor of Education Degree and classroom experience, Principal Sia fosters an environment where students feel empowered to explore, inquire, and learn from their mistakes, ensuring they reach their fullest potential.At MWNS, we consider a qualified teacher as someone who has completed training accredited by the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF), such as obtaining a degree or diploma.
Most of our teachers are fully qualified or are actively pursuing qualifications through reputable institutions like universities or TAFE. Even if a small number of our teachers do not possess formal qualifications, they have proven expertise in tutoring and have met Principal Sia’s rigorous standards before joining our team.Most communication regarding your child’s tuition can be conveniently addressed directly with their tutor in the waiting room before or after their scheduled lesson. Our tutors are always willing to engage in discussions about your child’s progress and learning objectives.
For any administrative inquiries or assistance outside of tutoring hours, such as passing on documents or information to your child’s tutor, we recommend reaching out to your Centre Manager via email or phone. They are available to provide the necessary support and address any concerns you may have.
Administration
Certainly! We understand that schedules can sometimes change, so parents or students are welcome to reschedule lessons via the Parent Portal. To ensure smooth arrangements, we kindly request a 24-hour notice or a doctor’s certificate for rescheduling.
Rescheduled lessons can be moved to any available time during the current school term, providing flexibility and convenience for both students and parents.
We accept payments via Credit Card, Bank Transfers, Cash, or through an an Automatic Payment Schedule (Direct Debit) using Ezidebit.
For ongoing enrolments, establishing an Automatic Payment Schedule is necessary and can be scheduled either fortnightly or per term.
If your child is feeling under the weather, they can still participate in their lesson from the comfort of home using our online Student Portal. However, if they’re too unwell to attend, simply give us a heads up with a 24-hour notice or a doctor’s certificate, and we’ll gladly reschedule their lesson for another day within the current year.
Your child’s health and well-being are our top priority, so we’re here to accommodate any necessary changes to ensure they receive the support they need.
