Meet Our Tutors

Ms Lhara is currently studying for a Certificate IV in School Based Education Support at TAFE. She has experience teaching students in Maths, English and dance, ensuring each lesson is adapted to each student’s learning style.

 

Ms Lhara began teaching because she wanted to allow children to fall in love with learning. She believes MWNS provides her with an opportunity to do just that and make learning a positive experience for all students.

Ms Leah enjoys teaching lessons integrated with critical thinking as she believes this helps develop her students into active learners. She is currently studying an Education and Arts Degree at Macquarie University and has been recognised as a student teacher as a result of passing her LANTITE exams.

Ms Leah has years of tutoring experience in Maths, English and Creative Writing. She chooses to teach because she believes it grounds students’ abilities and fosters them into a growth mindset.

Mr Micah is a TEFL certified English and Maths teacher. After years of tutoring high school and university students, he spent 4 years in South East Asia teaching students of all ages. Upon returning to Australia, he joined the MWNS team to continue working as an educator. 


Mr Micah has international experience working with high achievers trying to maximise their potential, but is also personally passionate about working with children with learning and behavioural difficulties. The focus on individual and small group learning at MWNS allows him to teach customised lessons that can be uniquely tailored to individual students’ needs.

Mr Mayank is a passionate mathematics tutor dedicated to fostering a love for analytical thinking and problem-solving. His teaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that everyone has the potential to excel in math given the right guidance and encouragement.

 

Mr Mayank has several years of tutoring experience and is enjoying a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering at UNSW. He aims to inspire his students to embrace mathematical thinking and realize its relevance in their everyday lives, empowering them to achieve their personal best.

Ms Grace is currently studying to complete a Bachelor of Primary Education at the University of Notre Dame Australia. She has always had a deep passion for teaching and wishes to pursue this career in the hopes of creating a positive lasting impact on the growing minds of her students. 

 

Ms Grace finds fulfilment in seeing her students reach difficult goals that once seemed distant. To her, being a tutor relies on the creation of an interactive environment filled with engaging activities that challenge students to be their best. Likewise, it is vital that the learning experience is consistently enjoyable for all involved.

Mr Yiannis has taught in public schools and tutoring centres in Sydney since 2004, joining the MWNS teaching team in 2009. For almost two decades he has enjoyed implementing the best teaching strategies to help his students work to their potential.

Mr Yiannis completed a Bachelor of Science with a major in Mathematics at the University of Patras in Greece. He believes the most satisfying and rewarding part of teaching is when he sees his students truly understanding and applying a concept that they once thought complex.
Miss Nilden studied a Bachelor of Education (Primary) at the USYD, where she also specialised in teaching the Integrated Arts. She has taught children in both school and special education settings with her most recent experience in teaching to address language learning difficulties.

Miss Nilden aims to encourage children’s imagination, inquiry, and interaction. She wishes to support children through developing independent and confident learning habits as well as a prevalent love for learning.

Mr Ryan believes education’s key is creating an environment that allows students to learn and thrive. He actively ensures that his class is a place for students to reach their full potential. He has worked with high school students since 2019, teaching mathematics at all levels, from standard to extension.

 

Mr Ryan is currently completing a Bachelor of Science at UTS after receiving the Dean’s List Award from the University of Wollongong. He is passionate about giving his best to students and enjoys accompanying them throughout their learning journey.

Mr Angelo has been tutoring for almost a decade in Mathematics, English and Science based subjects. He strives to engage interest by using a student-centred approach to tutoring that demonstrates the use and value of a subject or topic.

Mr Angelo has degrees in Arts/Social Studies and Mechanical Engineering from the University of Sydney which he has used in a multitude of careers such as Youth Work/Social Work and Mechanical (medical and safety) Engineering.

Ms Alydia is currently undertaking a Master of Teaching in primary education at the University of New South Wales. She also has a Bachelor of Arts with a major in English Literatures. She is excited to supplement her studies in education by gaining further expertise in working with children.

 

Ms Alydia believes that students often lack confidence in at least one area of learning, and don’t always feel comfortable asking for help. The individualised lessons and approach to learning that MWNS provides to its students is something that resonates with her teaching style.

Mr Cyril’s love of Mathematics stems from high school, where he completed the highest levels of Mathematics (Extension 1 & 2) and scored in the top bands. From there, he has enjoyed teaching those younger than him and was honoured as the director of the Competitive Programming and Mathematics Society at UNSW.

 

Mr Cyril has written content and problems for Mathematics workshops and competitions, as well as helped several university students learn Mathematics. He believes that lot of students become bored with, or worse, scared of maths, so he uses his passion to share all the interesting things that can be derived from the topic and to help them enjoy learning it.

Mr Lukas prioritises his students understanding over all else, no matter how behind or ahead they may be in class, in his tutoring lessons he treats everyone equally, with a goal of building confidence in learning, and in extension themselves.

 

Mr Lukas is passionate about helping students and uses a variety of methods to teach methodical approaches to mathematics. As a student for Aerospace Engineering and Advanced Mathematics he holds the value of education in tandem with the value of constantly learning new things.

Ms Bianca has had a passion for English since childhood and even completed an English Extension 2 short fiction major work for her HSC. She achieved top bands in English Advanced, English Extension 1 and English Extension 2, and looks forward to sharing her love of teaching and learning with her students.

 

One of the things that first drew Ms Bianca to MWNS was their commitment to providing a welcoming and engaging environment for the students to learn, as she believes it is this supportive environment which fosters growth and allows them to achieve their personal best.

Mr Ho Nam has experience teaching primary and high school students across a number of disciplines, including Maths and English. He strives to build confidence and motivation in his students, and for them to unlock their potential with their own strength.

 

Mr Ho Nam’s highest priority to students is empowering academic motivation and teaching cross-disciplinary skills. He believes learning to learn, logical reasoning, and critical thinking are the most valuable takeaways a student can have past high school and into university as well as the workplace.

Ms Nanda, a dedicated University of Sydney student pursuing a Bachelor of Science with a double major in Data Science and Economics, exemplifies a profound passion for learning and teaching. With a keen interest in educational psychology, Ms Nanda actively seeks innovative teaching strategies to enhance the learning experience. 

 

Drawing from personal experiences  and academic insights, Ms Nanda is committed to creating dynamic learning environments tailored to diverse student needs. Believing in inclusive education, she prioritises recognising and nurturing each student’s individual strengths and challenges. 

Mr. Damon is passionate about helping kids and young adults do well in their studies because he wants to see the next generation have better learning opportunities. He’s currently studying for a Bachelor of Construction Management and Property at the University of New South Wales.

 

Mr. Damon believes that teaching in smaller groups helps students really understand their work and get the most out of it, with more personalised support from the tutor. He’s confident that the MWNS teaching style gives students the best environment to succeed in their education.

Ms Jessica has a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education from the University of Exeter, England. She has taught children of all primary ages in all areas of the primary curriculum and has a particular interest in Maths and English teaching.

Having worked as a maths specialist teacher in a primary school, she is confident using a range of resources to support the learning process. She is experienced in adapting content to individual learners and has a calm and supportive approach to her teaching.

Mr Stephen has been with MWNS since 2016 and has over 30 years of teaching experience, including both classroom teaching and tutoring. His vast knowledge combined with his experience has helped many of our students achieve personal goals and incredible results. 

 

Mr Stephen has years of experience marking the HSC and knows what is required to write a Band 6 response. He remains up to date with the latest HSC texts to ensure his students are well prepared for their exams.

Ms Nehreen is currently a podiatric medicine student at UWA and has experience teaching various students from Kindergarten to Year 7 in Maths and English. Her diverse teaching experience has equipped her with a wide range of skills and techniques to effectively educate students with varying abilities.

 

Ms Nehreen is committed to creating a positive and engaging learning environment that fosters growth and development in all her students. She believes a student should feel valued, supported, and challenged in their learning journey.

Mr Jackson is an experienced tutor almost a decade of experience. He has a Bachelor of Arts (History) from University of Sydney and is currently studying his Masters of Teaching (Secondary) at UNSW.

He has a passion for helping children to succeed in their studies, and prides himself on being adaptable to his students’ needs and helping to develop their confidence and academic skills. Mr Jackson firmly believes that services like MWNS can help children to feel supported and comfortable in their education.

Mr Sean has several years of experience teaching secondary mathematics up to the Year 12 Extension 2. He is passionate about helping students comprehend mathematical topics, catering to each student’s individual needs by breaking down ideas into their simplest components, connecting different topics together and working with the student to use their skills to answer real-world problems.

 

Mr Sean enjoyed studying mathematics in High School and is currently studying a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) at Sydney University. He believes that every student has the capacity to improve and excel in the skill of mathematics with practice, time, and commitment.

Mr Gabriel is highly interested in Maths, completing the highest levels in high school (Extension 2) and now applying his skills by studying a double Bachelor of Civil Engineering and Project Management at the University of Sydney.

 

With the right guidance and hard work, Mr Gabriel believes that every student has the potential to succeed at school and beyond. The positive and personalised relationships he builds with his students is key to providing effective instruction targeted towards each student’s individual needs.

Mr Martin has lived and worked on three different continents (Europe, North America and Oceania) which has allowed him to acquire diverse teaching and learning skills. He has taught as a private tutor, research and teaching assistant as well as a high school Maths & Science teacher.

 

Mr Martin has a Master of Engineering (Mechanical Engineering) from the Université Libre de Bruxelles, Belgium. He decided to join MWNS because of their shared passion for teaching and vision in building confident learners than can succeed in their studies and beyond.

Ms Jodie has always had a passion for learning and for Mathematics, leading her to achieve a First Class Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics and return to University to complete a teaching qualification so that she could inspire and pass on knowledge to future learners. 

 

Ms Jodie has a drive to ensure every student succeeds and she understands that success looks different for every learner. With a friendly approach, she strives to create collaborative and personalised programs with learners to ensure each learners needs are met and they are confidently making progress.

Ms Laura has a bachelor’s degree of School Pedagogy and a postgraduate degree in Neuropsychology. She has been tutoring for several years and believes that education should be centred on a child’s needs.

 

Ms Laura teaches because of the fulfilment that her students get when they learn something new. She loves tailoring her teaching style to suit her students so that they can learn and achieve their potential.

Ms Issey believes that connecting with her students, understanding their learning needs as well as deciphering their strengths and weaknesses leads to her student’s academic success.

 

Ms Issey is currently studying a Bachelor of Primary Education at the Australian Catholic University. She has experience with children from ages 4-13 years and is passionate in motivating and assisting children in striving to achieve their very best. 

Mr Austin is passionate that Mathematics plays an essential role in numerous aspects of daily life. His motto is that “no question is too big or small,” urging students to inquire freely and relentlessly until they grasp various concepts with unwavering comprehension.

 

Mr Austin is currently studying at the University of New South Wales, studying for a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering with honours. He has a personal goal to foster confident learners and demonstrate the relevance of taught concepts beyond the classroom.

Ms Parisa is a qualified teacher and engineer with over a decade of teaching working with children of all ages and abilities. She believes children learn best in a caring, relaxed, and fun environment. She thrives on helping children achieve outstanding results, believing that this in turn builds confident learners who are much better equipped to reach their goals.

. Ms Parisa empowers her students through constant encouragement and by creating a space for them to work through problems on their own. She has found this is the best way to help them take ownership of their learning and feel proud of achievements.

Ms Natalea is currently undertaking the Bachelor of Psychology (Hons) / Bachelor of Laws program at the University of New South Wales. With experience in teaching children in groups combined with her strong grasp of Mathematics, she is proficient in effectively conveying complex concepts in a clear and accessible manner to students of diverse ages and learning styles.

Ms Hebe is in her fourth year of studying a Bachelor of Secondary Education with a focus on Mathematics at University of New South Wales and has already gained conditional accreditation to teach in NSW. Ms Hebe has gained valuable experience in tutoring small classes, where she has helped some students build confidence from studying maths.

Ms Ella is a Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering student at the University of Sydney. With over 2 years of experience in teaching Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics to students from ages 6 to 24, she is a true STEM enthusiast who is passionate in sharing her knowledge to others.

Mx Dionne teaches Primary English and has worked as a preschool educator, coach, student facilitator, and tuition teacher. Their passion lies in teaching English and Creative writing, and they hold a Bachelor of Media (Communication and Journalism) from UNSW.

Mx Dionne’s teaching style relies heavily on easy, flowing conversations with students. This level of participation allows students to gain a lasting understanding of concepts.
Mx Joey is an experienced educator who has been volunteering and working in education since 2018. They have been a volunteer ethics teacher and volunteered in workshops for gifted and talented children, and completed all pre-service classroom teaching requirements for a Bachelor of Primary Education.
Mx Joey’s pedagogical philosophy strongly aligns with the philosophy of Maths Words Not Squiggles, particularly in its dedication to meeting each child where they’re at. They believe that success can best be measured by doing better than you did yesterday, rather than by comparing to age group peers or expected milestones.

Ms Josephine has a Diploma In Teaching and has been an educator for well over thirty years, working in various independent primary schools as a class teacher, literacy and numeracy support teacher and undertaking administrative roles. She has also been tutoring English and Maths for several years.

 

Ms Josephine believes that the needs of the student are paramount, seeing her role as one that will assist and develop the student’s individual potential, promoting confidence, self-esteem, motivation and encouragement. She thinks that learning is a lifelong process and each student learns in different ways and at their own pace.

Ms Carmen has a Diploma of Teaching and over 40 years of experience. She has loved her journey as a teacher and is now enjoying working at MWNS. Ms Carmen has taught at a variety of schools in the St George, Sutherland Shire. and Fairfield areas as a full-time, part time and casual classroom teacher.

She has experience as a New Arrivals and ESL specialist teacher and has worked with Gifted & Talented students. Ms Carmen aims to take children from whatever stage they are at on their learning journey to assist them to develop their skills; to enable and empower them to be enthusiastic, independent, critical individuals.
With a keen interest in both technology and education, Mr Apurba has been tutoring high school students for a few years, spanning across both the UK and Australia. Currently, he is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of New South Wales.

Embracing the philosophy that “when one teaches, two people learn,” he is dedicated to creating engaging and dynamic learning environments where students can thrive. His approach to teaching combines theoretical knowledge with practical applications, aiming to foster curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills among my students.

Ms Katie is studying a Bachelor of Primary Education at the University of Notre Dame Australia. She has experience as a Learning Support Officer in local schools and has worked with children in a variety of areas, such as school camps and dance classes.

 

Ms Katie is passionate about creating a safe and encouraging environment for students to grow, learn and become confident in their individual abilities. She wants her students to become curious thinkers, always wanting to know more about the world around them.

Mr Mike has extensive experience teaching at various tuition colleges and high schools. He believes that practice and understanding of the ideas behind formulas are critical to success in mathematics. He has a Bachelor of Science majoring in Mathematics with a Graduate Diploma in Education and a Bachelor of Commerce majoring Actuarial Studies from Macquarie University.

Mr Mike aims to relate unfamiliar content with what his student already knows to aid understanding and memory. He chooses to teach because of the positive and life-changing effect it can have on a child.

Mr Ian has a Bachelor of Arts and a Diploma of Education, majoring in English Literature and minoring in ESL (English as a Second Language).

With over 20 years experience, Mr Ian has taught in high schools both in Australia (New South Wales) and overseas in Vietnam and Japan. He enjoys teaching across the cultural mix of students and being challenged by his students.

Mr Jackson is an experienced tutor with 8 years of experience. He has a Bachelor of Arts (History) from University of Sydney and is currently studying his Masters of Teaching (Secondary) at UNSW. 

 

He has a passion for helping children to succeed in their studies, and prides himself on being adaptable to his students’ needs and helping to develop their confidence and academic skills. Mr Jackson firmly believes that services like MWNS can help children to feel supported and comfortable in their education.  

Mr Matias has experience tutoring various students at a variety of mathematics levels. He enjoys helping students address concepts they don’t feel comfortable with and helping them realise their mathematical potential. Mr Matias is currently studying a double degree in Civil Engineering and Surveying at UNSW.

 

He thrives on making lessons engaging and productive for students. He understands that a traditional classroom can be intimidating and demotivating, so he strives to create a positive work experience for students of all ages.

Ms Amelie’s enthusiasm for education and innovative teaching pedagogy drives her dedication to make a meaningful impact in the lives of her students. She works to create a positive learning environment that fosters confidence in her learners.

Mr Ayden has a Bachelor of Mathematics Education (Secondary) and experience working in schools throughout the Sutherland Shire. He is dedicated to ensuring the learning needs of all types of learners are met through the use of visual aids and he enjoys illustrating mathematical concepts to his students.

 

Mr Ayden differentiates his instruction by adjusting the pace, content, or presentation of material to suit individual students’ needs. He has a strong belief in the outreach of mathematical ability in developing problem solving and critical thinking that will encourage students to understand mathematics in a real world sense.

Mr Micah is a TEFL certified English and Maths teacher. After years of tutoring high school and university students, he spent 4 years in South East Asia teaching students of all ages. Upon returning to Australia, he joined the MWNS team to continue working as an educator. 


Mr Micah has international experience working with high achievers trying to maximise their potential, but is also personally passionate about working with children with learning and behavioural difficulties. The focus on individual and small group learning at MWNS allows him to teach customised lessons that can be uniquely tailored to individual students’ needs. 

Mr Dan is a passionate learner who cultivates and promotes this amongst his students. He has a Bachelor of Music (Performance) where he studied under the direction of the best jazz musicians in Australia. Whilst he has over 6 years of music tutoring to his name, he is working towards a Master of Teaching (Primary) where he is determined to become a strong male role model in the early years of students’ schooling.

 

In lessons, he focuses on working collaboratively with students, fostering a safe environment to try new ideas and challenge themselves. Mr Dan adapts each lesson to individual student needs whilst providing encouragement throughout to build their confidence in learning. 

Mr Jonathan’s passion for tutoring comes from allowing students to directly interact with tutors so that they can overcome challenging concepts that may not be addressed in the classroom.  He is currently studying a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) at UNSW majoring in Robotics. 

 

Mr Jonathan consistently engages students by referring to core concepts that help to reinforce their understanding of the topic. He creates a positive learning environment for students that will encourage them to work productively during each lesson. His adaptable approach to teaching allows him to take on various learning abilities.

Ms Elizabeth has a strong love for mathematics and enjoyed completing the highest level of mathematics offered, Extension 1 and 2. Throughout her life, Ms Elizabeth discovered her passion for teaching through her countless tutoring session, both through school programs and privately.

Ms Elizabeth takes great pleasure in watching her students grow and develop in their education as well as gaining extraordinary satisfaction when her students understand new concepts. Ms Maddie believes that every child can do well academically with individualised support and an encouraging environment. She enjoys tailoring her lessons towards the specific needs of her students.

Mr Ryan believes education’s key is creating an environment that allows students to learn and thrive. He actively ensures that his class is a place for students to reach their full potential. He has worked with high school students since 2019, teaching mathematics at all levels, from standard to extension.

 

Mr Ryan is currently completing a Bachelor of Science at UTS after receiving the Dean’s List Award from the University of Wollongong. He is passionate about giving his best to students and enjoys accompanying them throughout their learning journey.

Mr Austin has immersed himself in Mathematics by completing the Advanced, Extension 1 and Extension 2 courses during high school. He currently a studying for a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering with Honours at the University of New South Wales.

Mr Austin’s is passionate that Mathematics plays an essential role in numerous aspects of daily life. His motto is that “no question is too big or small,” urging students to inquire freely and relentlessly until they grasp various concepts with unwavering comprehension.

Ms Manuella has been tutoring for 6 years and finds her strengths in helping students realise their full potential and feeling confident in their studies. She is currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Environment and Bachelor of Law at Macquarie University.

Ms Manuella enjoys both Maths and English topics, helping students to also find their love and passion for the subjects. MWNS aligns with her enthusiasm for learning and enables a safe, supportive, and happy environment to help as many students as possible.

Mr Yiannis has taught in public schools and tutoring centres in Sydney since 2004, joining the MWNS teaching team in 2009. For almost two decades he has enjoyed implementing the best teaching strategies to help his students work to their potential.

 

Mr Yiannis completed a Bachelor of Science with a major in Mathematics at the University of Patras in Greece. He believes the most satisfying and rewarding part of teaching is when he sees his students truly understanding and applying a concept that they once thought complex.

Ms Bianca has had a passion for English since childhood and even completed an English Extension 2 short fiction major work for her HSC. She achieved top bands in English Advanced, English Extension 1 and English Extension 2, and looks forward to sharing her love of teaching and learning with her students.

 

One of the things that first drew Ms Bianca to MWNS was their commitment to providing a welcoming and engaging environment for the students to learn, as she believes it is this supportive environment which fosters growth and allows them to achieve their personal best.

Mr Daniel holds a Bachelor of Creative Writing and Fine Arts (English) from UOW, graduating both with distinction. He has over nine years of teaching/tutoring experience, working with children from ages 6 to 18 in the fields of English, Creative Writing, ESL, performance, and special needs reading programs.

Mr Daniel believes in the uplifting power of education and the noble pursuit of knowledge. In his teaching he seeks to guide his students to a greater appreciation of the power of stories. He believes effective communication is one of the most powerful tools for success and self-actualisation and he seeks to support his students improve these skills.

Miss Nilden studied a Bachelor of Education (Primary) at the USYD, where she also specialised in teaching the Integrated Arts. She has taught children in both school and special education settings with her most recent experience in teaching to address language learning difficulties.


Miss Nilden aims to encourage children’s imagination, inquiry, and interaction. She wishes to support children through developing independent and confident learning habits as well as a prevalent love for learning.

Mr Mike has extensive experience teaching at various tuition colleges and high schools. He believes that practice and understanding of the ideas behind formulas are critical to success in mathematics. He has a Bachelor of Science majoring in Mathematics with a Graduate Diploma in Education and a Bachelor of Commerce majoring Actuarial Studies from Macquarie University.

Mr Mike aims to relate unfamiliar content with what his student already knows to aid understanding and memory. He chooses to teach because of the positive and life-changing effect it can have on a child.

Mr Angelo has been tutoring for over six years in Mathematics, English and Science based subjects. He strives to engage interest by using a student-centred approach to tutoring that demonstrates the use and value of a subject or topic. 

 

Mr Angelo has degrees in Arts/Social Studies and Mechanical Engineering from the University of Sydney which he has used in a multitude of careers such as Youth Work/Social Work and Mechanical (medical and safety) Engineering.

Ms Alydia is currently undertaking a Master of Teaching in primary education at the University of New South Wales. She also has a Bachelor of Arts with a major in English Literatures. She is excited to supplement her studies in education by gaining further expertise in working with children.


Ms Alydia believes that students often lack confidence in at least one area of learning, and don’t always feel comfortable asking for help. The individualised lessons and approach to learning that MWNS provides to its students is something that resonates with her teaching style.

Mr Nicholas has a Bachelor of Teaching/Bachelor of Arts and his passion for teaching is driven by his desire to learn. He prides himself on finding the ideal style of teaching for each student and implementing the best strategies for their learning.

 

Mr Nicholas has been teaching for over ten years in Sydney, Cessnock, and Central Coast schools. With a background of working in small groups, he has mastered how to use tailored learning to maximise learning opportunities.

Ms Tasfia has been tutoring for almost a decade, working with students from primary to year 10 and nurturing their understanding and passion for mathematics. As a Bachelor of Civil Engineering student at university, Ms Tasfia not only learns mathematics from her professors, but discovers how they teach and tailor their style to different cohorts of students.

 

For Ms Tasfia, teaching isn’t just a job; she thoroughly enjoys sharing her enthusiasm for mathematics and hopes to ignite that same excitement in her students.

Mr Jackson is an experienced tutor with 8 years of experience. He has a Bachelor of Arts (History) from University of Sydney and is currently studying his Masters of Teaching (Secondary) at UNSW. 

 

He has a passion for helping children to succeed in their studies, and prides himself on being adaptable to his students’ needs and helping to develop their confidence and academic skills. Ms Zoe has a passion for teaching and helping others feel confident and empowered in their learning. She has a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Advanced Studies (Advanced) with First Class Honours from The University of Sydney. 

Ms Zoe is an experienced tutor, teaching all ages in both Maths and English. She strives to create a positive and active learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and receiving feedback. She believes that every student learns differently and thus caters the lesson to the preferred learning style of the student. 

Mr Will is currently studying Engineering at the University of Sydney and has a passion for making complex mathematical principles simple and consumable for students. He has been tutoring since the completion of his HSC and loves to see students come to grips with the content they are learning.

Mr Christopher has a Bachelor of Education (Primary) from Edith Cowan University in Perth. His passion for teaching comes from meeting motivated people, either children or adults, that are eager to put in the groundwork to set themselves a platform for success and adaptability within society.

Mr Christopher has taught in public, private, primary, and secondary schools across Australia. He values teacher creativity, collaborating with students and creating engaging learning environments provide a high chance of academic improvement.
Ms Sarah believes that there is no such thing as impossible when it comes to learning, and with guidance, anything can become possible for the child to learn. She is currently studying Bachelor of Primary Education and Psychology at Macquarie University and has experience teaching from placement practices in primary schools and after school care.

Ms Sarah’s passion is to incorporate different learning methods catered to the child and create a fun environment that allows learning to become enjoyable instead of frustrating. With her student’s determination to try, she is able to explore many opportunities for their learning.
Mr Martin has lived and worked on three different continents (Europe, North America and Oceania) which has allowed him to acquire diverse teaching and learning skills. He has taught as a private tutor, research and teaching assistant as well as a high school Maths & Science teacher.

Mr Martin has a Master of Engineering (Mechanical Engineering) from the Université Libre de Bruxelles, Belgium. He decided to join MWNS because of their shared passion for teaching and vision in building confident learners than can succeed in their studies and beyond.

Joining the MWNS team in 2014, Ms Marianna has enjoyed teaching in a number of our centres. She has a Masters of Teaching (Primary) and over 10 years’ experience working in schools and tutoring across NSW. 

 

Ms Marianna’s passion for teaching encourages her to create tailored lessons that suit the individual learning styles of her students. She works closely with her students to ensure they remain at the centre of their learning and are provided with the resources and guidance to reach their full potential. 

Ms Eliza is extremely passionate about providing quality education to her students and helping them to feel more confident and motivated for learning. She believes that each student is capable of succeeding academically.

 

Ms Eliza currently studying a Bachelor of Secondary Education at the University of Newcastle, majoring in English and Modern History, and she has had previous experience with tutoring both primary and high school students.

Mr Nicholas has a Bachelor of Teaching/Bachelor of Arts and his passion for teaching is driven by his desire to learn. He prides himself on finding the ideal style of teaching for each student and implementing the best strategies for their learning.

Ms Annie is currently studying a Bachelor of Oral Health Therapy at the University of Newcastle. During her senior years in high school, Ms Annie participated in her school’s study buddy program, where she had the opportunity to tutor younger students. It was through this program that she discovered her passion for teaching.

 

Ms Annie used her knowledge and strategies to help students grasp and apply concepts in the classroom. She found it incredibly rewarding to see her students gain confidence and develop a deeper understanding of the curriculum.

Miss Lux has experience teaching across various primary and secondary schools. She passionate about implementing contemporary teaching strategies to her practice and empowering students across diverse backgrounds to cater learning to each individual child’s needs. 

 

She believes that students are often directed towards stereotypical teaching aspects to burden them and this often does not acknowledge their strengths, so Miss Lux actively ensures she highlights a student’s strength while focusing on areas that need building confidence and motivation. 

Ms Laura has a bachelor’s degree of School Pedagogy and a postgraduate degree in Neuropsychology. She has been tutoring for several years and believes that education should be centred on a child’s needs.

 

Ms Laura teaches because of the fulfilment that her students get when they learn something new. She loves tailoring her teaching style to suit her students so that they can learn and achieve their potential.

Ms Maria has a Bachelor of Primary Education from the University of Notre Dame Australia. She has experience teaching across various primary schools in Sydney with a special interest in EALD and diverse learning.

 

Ms Maria is passionate in implementing contemporary teaching strategies to her practice and utilises the theory of multiple intelligences to cater learning to each individual child’s needs.

Mx Dionne teaches Primary English and has worked as a preschool educator, coach, student facilitator, and tuition teacher. Their passion lies in teaching English and Creative writing, and they hold a Bachelor of Media (Communication and Journalism) from UNSW.  

Mx Dionne’s teaching style relies heavily on easy, flowing conversations with students. This level of participation allows students to gain a lasting understanding of concepts. 

Ms Issey believes that connecting with her students, understanding their learning needs as well as deciphering their strengths and weaknesses leads to her student’s academic success.

 

Ms Issey is currently studying a Bachelor of Primary Education at the Australian Catholic University. She has experience with children from ages 4-13 years and is passionate in motivating and assisting children in striving to achieve their very best. 

With a keen interest in both technology and education, Mr Apurba has been tutoring high school students for a few years, spanning across both the UK and Australia. Currently, he is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of New South Wales.

Embracing the philosophy that “when one teaches, two people learn,” he is dedicated to creating engaging and dynamic learning environments where students can thrive. His approach to teaching combines theoretical knowledge with practical applications, aiming to foster curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills among my students.

Ms Lhara is currently studying for a Certificate IV in School Based Education Support at TAFE. She has experience teaching students in Maths, English and dance, ensuring each lesson is adapted to each student’s learning style.

 

Ms Lhara began teaching because she wanted to allow children to fall in love with learning. She believes MWNS provides her with an opportunity to do just that and make learning a positive experience for all students.

Ms Carmen has a Diploma of Teaching and over 40 years of experience. She has loved her journey as a teacher and is now enjoying working at MWNS. Ms Carmen has taught at a variety of schools in the St George, Sutherland Shire. and Fairfield areas as a fulltime, part time and casual classroom teacher.

 

She has experience as a New Arrivals and ESL specialist teacher and has worked with Gifted & Talented students. Ms Carmen aims to take children from whatever stage they are at on their learning journey to assist them to develop their skills; to enable and empower them to be enthusiastic, independent, critical individuals.

Ms Jasiah has been tutoring students for multiple years in both one-on-one and group lessons and is able to teach both primary English and Mathematics as well as Opportunity Class and Selective School content. 

 

Ms Jasiah believes that by creating a comfortable environment, students are able to completely immerse themselves with the content and be a more active participant in their learning journey.

Ms Kylie decided to take up teaching last year as she noticed a lot of children falling behind in their school work because of the lockdowns and homeschooling. This inspired her to begin studying her Masters of Teaching (Primary). 

 

Ms Kylie has channeled her passion for making a difference by tailoring each of her lessons to the specific needs of her students. By creating a personalised classroom experience, she can ensure they gain the most from each lesson.

Ms Parisa is a qualified teacher and engineer with over a decade of teaching working with children of all ages and abilities. She believes children learn best in a caring, relaxed, and fun environment. She thrives on helping children achieve outstanding results, believing that this in turn builds confident learners who are much better equipped to reach their goals.

 

Ms Parisa empowers her students through constant encouragement and by creating a space for them to work through problems on their own. She has found this is the best way to help them take ownership of their learning and feel proud of achievements. 

Mr Stephen has been with MWNS since 2016 and has over 30 years of teaching experience, including both classroom teaching and tutoring. His vast knowledge combined with his experience has helped many of our students achieve personal goals and incredible results. 

 

Mr Stephen has years of experience marking the HSC and knows what is required to write a Band 6 response. He remains up to date with the latest HSC texts to ensure his students are well prepared for their exams.

She then pursued tutoring with the intention of building confidence in each child as she guides them to fulfil their potential.

Ms Julie has a child centred viewpoint of education, which recognises the individuality of the child as a person and a learner and caters teaching experiences to enhance each child’s learning.
Ms Maya inspires a love of learning and has enjoyed tutoring students in Maths, Music and in the broader community as a Council Volunteer. She is confident teaching high school Mathematics, including Year 12 Advanced & Extension 1.

Ms Hebe is in her fourth year of studying a Bachelor of Secondary Education with a focus on Mathematics at University of New South Wales and has already gained conditional accreditation to teach in NSW. Ms Hebe has gained valuable experience in tutoring small classes, where she has helped some students build confidence from studying maths.

 

Ms Hebe firmly believes that every kid has the potential to achieve the best. She is passionate about knowing her students and tailoring each lesson to cater to her students’ specific needs.

Mr Ian has a Bachelor of Arts and a Diploma of Education, majoring in English Literature and minoring in ESL (English as a Second Language).

 

With over 20 years experience, Mr Ian has taught in high schools both in Australia (New South Wales) and overseas in Vietnam and Japan. He enjoys teaching across the cultural mix of students and being challenged by his students.
